چکیده

We describe the algorithm, implementation and numerical tests of a multifluid dust module in Athena++ magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) code. The can accommodate an arbitrary number species interacting with gas via aerodynamic drag (characterized by stopping time), solvers. In particular, we two second-order accurate, two-stage, fully-implicit solvers that are stable stiff regimes including short time high mass loading, they paired explicit van-Leer Runge-Kutta dynamics Athena++, respectively. Moreover, formulate consistent treatment concentration diffusion back-reaction, which incorporates momentum ensures Galilean invariance. new formulation implemented to be compatible most existing features different coordinate systems, mesh refinement, shearing-box orbital advection. present large suite test problems, streaming instability linear nonlinear regimes, as well local global setting, demonstrate code achieves desired performance. This will particularly useful for studies planet formation protoplanetary disks.

passivity in waiting for godot and endgame: a psychoanalytic reading

this study intends to investigate samuel beckett’s waiting for godot and endgame under the lacanian psychoanalysis. it begins by explaining the most important concepts of lacanian psychoanalysis. the beckettian characters are studied regarding their state of unconscious, and not the state of consciousness as is common in most beckett studies. according to lacan, language plays the sole role in ...

Multifluid Flows: A Kinetic Approach

We propose a numerical scheme for the simulation of fluid-particles flows with two incompressible phases. The numerical strategy is based on a finite volume discretization on staggered grids, with a flavor of kinetic schemes in the definition of the numerical fluxes. We particularly pay attention to the difficulties related to the volume conservation constraint and to the presence of a close-pa...

Multifluid flow in bedded porous media: laboratory experiments and numerical simulations

Understanding light nonaqueous-phase liquid (LNAPL) movement in heterogeneous vadose environments is important for effective remediation design. We investigated LNAPL movement near a sloping fineover coarse-grained textural interface, forming a capillary barrier. LNAPL flow experiments were performed in a glass chamber (50 cm 3 60 cm 3 1.0 cm) using two silica sands (12/20 and 30/40 sieve sizes...
